River Hills Community Church is committed to…

God’s Word Being timeless and timely, the Bible is relevant to the common needs of all people at all times and to the specific issues of contemporary living (2 Timothy 3:14-17). RHCC is committed to equipping Christians, through the preaching and teaching of God’s Word, to follow Christ in every sphere of life.
Prayer God desires His people to pray, and He hears and answers prayer (Matt. 7:7-11; James 5:13-18). The ministries of RHCC will be characterized by reliance on prayer in their conception, planning and execution.
Teamwork The primary responsibility of the pastors and teachers at RHCC is to prepare God’s people for works of service (Eph. 4:12). The ministry of RHCC will be placed as much as possible in the hands of all its people, by helping every person identify his or her gifts and passions and by training and practices which encourage initiation, leadership, responsibility, authority and teamwork throughout the various ministries of the church.
Relationships We believe spiritual growth flows out of both a commitment to God and His Word as well as a commitment to significant Christian relationships (Acts 2:42-47). The small group setting is one of the most effective means of growing those relationships along with providing encouragement, care, and motivation for spiritual service. It is our goal to have every person attending our church involved in the small group experience.
Creativity In today’s rapidly changing world, forms and methods must be continually evaluated, and if necessary, altered to fit new conditions. While proven techniques must not be discarded at whim, we encourage creativity and innovation, flexibility and adaptability. We are more concerned with effectiveness in ministry than with adherence to tradition (1 Corinthians 9:22).
Excellence Because the Lord himself is a God of excellence as shown by the beauty of creation, and because He gave the best that He had, His only Son, for us, He deserves our best! The Bible tells us “whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men” (Colossians 3:23). The ministries and activities of RHCC will seek to maintain a high standard of excellence to the glory of God. This will be achieved when every person is exercising his or her God-given spiritual gift to the best of his or her ability (Romans 8:4-8).
Outreach All people matter to God, and He desires for us to reach as many people as possible with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20). With this in mind we will strive to create an environment which will be inviting, engaging and culturally relevant to those we are called to reach without compromising our integrity or commitment to Biblical truth.
